Father of Martyn Culley. Involved in grasstrack racing for many years. Completed ARDS course in 1994 and raced with 750 Motor Club's Hot Hatch championship.
Joined Volkswagen Racing Cup in 2004, finishing 15th overall with a best race placing of sixth.
Went even better in 2005 to take championship ninth and was ninth again in 2006 with a best race finish of fifth
