Started in motorsport in 1987 in the Triumph TR register series with a TR7 V8, switching to a TR6 for 1989/90 and amassing a tally of five race wins. Drove a Cavalier 4x4 in 91 Firestone Production Saloon series. Rover GTI Championship in 1995 and 96, then Rover Turbo Cup for 97 and 98. Switched to Tomcat Vento Challenge for 1999, and to the VW Cup for 2000 with a Vento. Built Corrado for 2001 Volkswagen Racing Cup season, winning penultimate round at Brands Hatch to finish year sixth in Class A. Took twin race wins at Snetterton in 2002 and claimed fifth place overall in the Class A championship. Seventh overall in 2003 Volkswagen Racing Cup. Best-yet season in 2004, with three race wins and championship third. |
